im using windows xp OS...my pc automatically logoff...why is this happening?? i didnt set the screen savers on...i also have set "never" for system standby,system hibernates,turn off monitor and turn off hard disks...but why my pc still keep logging off?? what should i do?? anyone...plz help me...

its not logging off from the internet...its logging off from the user(my) account...means i have to re-enter my password again and again(keep repeating in few minutes) ...

Are you talking about it logging off the internet or closing down?

you have two options:

1) Go to Control Panel then User accounts and delete your current profile and then create a new one. You will need to delete your old windows account and then create a new one because a virus or a malware might have corrupted your user account.

2) Do a system restore. Go to start, programs, accessories, system tools. You will find system restore. Restore your PC back to when it was working correctly.

The last alternative is to reinstall windows if neither of those options work.

Try a virus scan. What r u doing when it logs off?

Mine does this as well!! I've ran all my Spyware & virus stuff & nothing!!
