Well, who cares what they think? It's sex, baby, even if it's just oral.
Why is "oral" a funny word? I don't burst out laughing when I hear it. Maybe you think it's associated with "talking" so what do you wnat to call it--"sucking sex"?

There is a lot of different virginity's out there. The only thing that it is saying is that you have experienced different thing's for the first time and things you have yet to experience. Think about it the first time you drove a car you lost your virginity to driving. If you have oral sex for the first time you have now lost your virginity to having some one give your pelvic region pleasure for the first time it dose not mean that you have lost your virginity to having intercourse for the first time. Oral is a word that describes by mouth and that's about it. Now blubber is a funny word. LOL . Good luck in your quest called life and be safe and have as much fun as you can because you only live once.

Well, we all can thank Bill for that one.
Virginity has meant different things to different people in different times. The oldest meaning was an unmarried young woman.
Oral sex is still a serious act. It shouldn't be treated like a handshake. Any contact with gential regions can give syphillis, herpes and other sexually transmitted diseases.
It is also making a commitment with your body. Would you give oral sex to someone you don't want to make love to in the future?

Losing one's virginity means different things to different people. Oral isn't really a funny word. Borborigmus... now I think that's a funny word.

Too many people are homespun stuck up on virgins and their preferability.
Women are are women and having prior sex doesn't lessen them at all. It's bull.
I don't know where Oral comes from(probly a dentist) or a lawyer or a lawyer names oral doing a dentist. It's isn't oral sense it involves inside:):).

Oral "sex" could even include kissing...
Depends on your point of view. Performing fellatio or cunnilingus with someone would certainly mean you were no longer a "virgin" to those acts.
Therefore, I'd suggest you lean the language and definitions and that would clear up much of your confusion.

Because, it's SEX! and oral simply means "anything dealing with the mouth"... like the Oral-B tooth brush, or oral surgery(when a dental surgeon operates on your mouth...) and stop, you can get stds that lodge in your throat..... eww!

For many, any genital contact means they have lost their vriginity.
The Western notion is that vaginal sex is real sex and everything else is glorified masturbation, so you can do all the oral and anal you want and still be a virgin.

i've never heard of ppl who think they lost their virginity from it and no it's not that funny of a word. and they probably think that becuz it's called oral sex but kids my age(i'm 13) if it's oral sex to a boy it's called head and if it's oral sex to a gurl it's called eatin her out. and nobody should be doin that anyway becuz it's nasty, that's where u pee and everything, and u can get a disease. i'm not even gonna do it when i'm married.

I don't know, lack of knowing what is correct or not. You're definitely still a virgin if you've only had oral sex.

You're still physically a virgin when you perform oral sex, but lots of people argue that once you do anything sexual you forfeit your virginity.
