If 70% of Americans are against George Bush, and if the majority think the war in Iraq is wrong, and if he "stole the election" because the majority did not vote for him...
Why on earth do anti-war folks still insist that they are the underdog? What's with all the "you're not allowed to speak against the leader." My God most of the country is speaking against him. Even I speak against him, and I'm a Republican.
So if most of the country agrees with you, how can you say you're being ostracised?

uh... I've not heard anyone complain personally out of the blue... but it's usually right after some conservative tells them that they should "shut up" and tell them that they are "un-American"... and some even say people shouldn't be able to talk against the war and that talking against the war is treason and should be punnished...

the people that say these things are clearly not the majority.. but they are often the ones that we are replying to

so... it's not so much we think we're underdogs... but that we are just replying to these people

So the majority of the people agree with us anti-war liberals that George W. is a fool and that we shouldn't be in Iraq. So what? What difference has that made in the country? I'm am still called un-American on an almost daily basis because I am against war, against Bush, and against neo-cons. We are still in Iraq. I don't see any liberals on TV to counter people like Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter and Bill O'Riley. Or on the radio to counter people like Rush Limbaugh (sure there's Air America radio, but I live in one of the many areas of the country where we don't get that station) Republicans still control every branch of the government. So how is it that I'm not an underdog? How is it that I'm not being ostracized?

I think the Republicans tend to be saying what you've just said. I'm a Republican myself, and I don't claim to be happy with Bush at all. But I agree, I don't see anti-war folks being mis-treated or looked down upon. I don't see them being ignored. If anything, I see them putting the pressure on Bush. Great point!

We are living it daily, that's how. This is the process whether you or I like it. The Neocons bashed, and still do Clinton for 14 years now, so pull your panties up and get them out of the bunch, they created this forum. Rush Limbaugh and Mann Coulter said tonight that Clinton was a Homosexual on public television. Good luck being a Neocon after America changes Congress in November...

The house and the senate are dominated by Republicans. Even if we disagree with everything that is happening, they have the majority of votes and control which laws are passed and what actions are taken. The rest of the country is completely powerless.

Because Bush IS the president and because his rich corporate friends support him.
