I am from Ohio and I can always relate a different state and its people to something. Like for California, I think of beaches and surfing. For Florida, I think of elderly people that are retired living there. When I think of Kentucky, I think of Kentucky Fried Chicken and the Kentuckian accents. I would like to know what other people think of Ohio and also if we have accents because to me our talking is normal.

I've lived everywhere from the deep south to the midwest, and have traveled extensively. I think of all the places I've been and all the people I've met, Ohioans have the least accent of anyone. When I think of Ohio, I think of corn. :D I used to live there (Columbus for a few years, and Circleville for a few years) and oh my God...when the corn was in season... SO good! I think Ohioans are nice. A lot nicer and a lot more polite than Michiganders...that's for sure!

I have a lot of family in Ohio. Accent-wise, I feel it's the same neutral mid-west accent as Indiana does. I think Ohioans are generally very friendly people.

I prefer not to pigeon-hole folks based on their homestate.

For example, I'm from Florida, but I am not elderly, nor retired.

Ohioans live in Ohio. Traditionally speaking Ohioans have a very clear way of speaking that commentators try to emulate.

Yeah ohioans have accents depending on where you're from in the state. I consider us talking normal also.

Yeah, I dated one for a while. I'd go with pretty wholesome. I also think of Ohioans as racists... sorry to say, but I believe your state has the highest KKK activity in the nation. There also always seem to be race riots and racial tension occurring in places like Cincinnati and Cleavland.
