I caught the Nathan's hot dog eating contest on TV and they said that the champ consumed something like 16,600 calories. That's some serious weight gain, so I'm thinking maybe they throw it up? What do you think?

Competitive eaters starve themselves, so they actually need well over 2,000 calories of nourishment. They also get bloated and feel full for a few days, so the calories help them stay healthy.

I'd think they'd have to let it be, otherwise their stomachs wouldn't get used to the volume and they wouldn't win. Or the puking would get to be a normal response, and you don't want that in the middle of a contest. And they must practice, which means they eat that much at least...once a week?

I personally would throw up after three hot dogs.

And isn't it bizarre when the winners are skinny?
