I'm just curious:

What is your opinion on american morals and foreign morals? Americans seem to publically stress to minors that sex, drugs, alcohol, etc. are bad...whereas most countries are extemely relaxed in these areas. For example: In the Census 2005, Europe was declared the most sexually active continet...around the world teens are allowed to smoke & drink at 16...and America has the highest crime rates. Please give your opinion.

It strikes me as funny that we are so concerned with sex, etc. and yet the pornography industry does a booming business in this country. Doesn't that seem strange?

they may stress to them that it's bad but most don't listen in USA From talking to my friend from England I think the two places are very similar. My small town is known for its bars and the majority of people here just drink and smoke pot.. most teenagers here drink too including me when I was one but we just can't let the law know until 21. I don't know if I agree either with Europe being declared the most sexually active continent... America is all about sex

There's a reason the drinking age was raised to 21. The frontal cortex of the brain, which makes desicions doesn't fully mature until the mid 20's, so drinking in the teens can cause brain damage beyond destroying brain cells. However, with sex I am with the europeans, we are prudes. And prostitution as well as marijuana should be legalized and regulated to ensure they are not more dangerous than they have to be..

Well to start with are you talking about Europe or England, because the two differ greatly on these issues... in your question you talk about European values, but they aren't really the English ones... I don't really think we have major differences in ideals, (USA GB) just cultural variations..Europe is a lot laxer than GB.. trouble is in England right now we are over run with former soviet citizens bringing their ways to us....

i didnt realize that america had morals, i thought that they just did what they wanted then said it was right because we are bigger and have more guns than you!
european morals would waiver from place to place, who would say that the germans had the same morals as the french. the swiss the same morals as the rest of the world. but to anwer, i think some of the smaller european countries, norway and monaco have better morals than america. i think it is because they are smaller

we are Hypocrites in the US when it comes to sex and drugs, alcohol U name it! but we go more to Church then the Europeans...EU....ppl smoke on the street, ppl are more tolerant toward vices, but they Nag about everything else all the time...nothing is ever good enough..complaining becomes there national pastime..
ppl don't have guns like we do...hence not to many street shootings...
