Start out with a pro setup. It will make you appreciate skateboarding more. A cheap rookie deck will detour you away from the sport. Plus, you don't want kids at this class to laugh at your board, it will only reduce your self confidence. Get a solid starting deck like an element, royal trucks for good stability, ask for 99a wheels, and Bones red bearings.

your first answer is the best. a blank deck is a good choice. if you quit, you didn't spend 160 bucks on a skateboard. I had a blank deck with venture trucks, girl bearings, and walmart weels( not recomendable). bearings, trucks and wheels are important too, get venture trucks, spitfire wheels, and any separate brand of trucks, like bones reds. other than that, rookie is good. blank decks are not that good quality. a good company for boards is zero or blind. do the people of second and third answers know anything about skateboarding?

Get a pro setup first.I'd go with an element or popwar board and independent trucks.Don't order from sportsauthority go to ccs.com for a nice selection.

hey don't listen to the dumb@$$ up there!!
Get a pro setup first, but dont get it from sports authority!
you shouldnt get bones for your first board either! Go with Black Panthers Abec 3 or 5 so you can get the hang of it, get krux trucks, they are the best and lightest.

Take a lengthy stroll off a short cliff you mendacity rat. yet that grow to be a very solid comedian tale. did no longer make me snigger even though it grow to be unique.

I think you should invest in a blank deck, they are cheep, no brand names, but pro quality, do a google search or check out ebay.

if you`re just starting out, get a rookie one, that way, if you dont like it, you wont spend more money than you need to.
