You could read lots of books like Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus. They may be boring but they are honest.

You can also take her to a park with food that you both love and ask her to tell you what matters to her most.....give her lots of time to talk. And no matter what...when she asks you questions, say that you need to here her talk first. Say that what she says matters and that you really want to know her. Don't give in and talk about you...just listen. Then repeat what she says back to her and ask if you got it right.
