The credit card itself cannot appear, however the issue that will result from the credit report, the collection agency, potential law suit with the agency, etc etc can continue to appear, because it will obviously drag out much longer than the card. The card itself won't, but people will see the problem.

Charge offs can appear for seven years after the collection efforts closed (which may be significantly later than when the credit card was canceled). Check your credit report at www.freecreditreport.com to see what's there. You can file a dispute with the credit agencies if it's been more than 7 years.

If you didn't file for bankruptsy to get out of paying them, they will always be on your credit report. That's the whole point of a credit report.

they usually go away after 10 years, some times the person you owe will make a deal with you to get it payed off maybe except half the amount, and if you take the deal it shows a partial payment for the next ten years.

yes they can as an account for them. Simply file a verification for the credit bearu and if it is 7 plus years old they will remove it
