Wow. Pretty weak. As expected. And twice Chomsky, the dumbass. How "unexpected". The fact is - there are no great living intellectuals. Or, better, there is no greatest. Or even one of the greatest. They are grey matter, just like everyone else. The world has become global enough for it.

For me the greatest living intellectual is John A Sanford. He writes on Jungian psychology and spirituality. If he were still living, I would have said Joseph Campbell because he changed they way we look at mythology. He in turn was building on the work of Karl Jung. --It's all about the archetypes.

I've always sort of admired Freeman Dyson. He wrote a book I enjoyed called The Sun, The Genome and The Internet. It was about how much technology could help to alleviate world suffering if harnessed correctly, centering around solar energy, bio-engineering and computer networking, as the title states.

why? because i like his philosophy on things, his quotes are absolutely amazing and he's dealt with various issues.


for women i would have to say the so called "IRON JAWED ANGELS" of American to get us women the right to vote. And the many women who died for that right. Without those women haven constructed their way into getting us to where we are today women would still be slaving over men. (no offense)
