They're different chipsets altogether.

It's more than a brand difference. When it comes to brands, I think of Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, etc., who manufacture products like motherboards and video cards. However, SiS and VIA actually make their own chipsets much like Nvidia and ATI make their own video cards. That's how different they are.

Typically, SiS has built a name for itself as being a low-end budget chipset that has worked with major CPU's in the past (mainly from Intel). However, over the last couple years, it has rebuilt that image from the ground up showing that it can be a major competitor to VIA. I'm sure you can find a lot more out on each company's website, as well as on Wikipedia.

Chipset: One chipset is manufactured by Silicon Integrated Systems Corp and the other is VIA Technology. The rest is subjective.

Intel is a larger end processor, and better fee. AMD is low fee, and regularly around the pc international have a foul acceptance. as a question of reality I run AMD and under no circumstances using a hitch, merely had one situation with they took care of straight away . they say AMD can no longer compete with i7 even if.
