The US news does not lie to us, it just tells us very very little and often ignores other views or the larger picture. If you don't know this, you are already a victim of the mass media.
It only stands to reason that you can learn more about the mid- east from mid-eastern news, just as they could learn much more about the US from US news.

actually any international news source is probably more reliable than any american newspaper or television news provider. the privately owned corporate media are simply propaganda instruments since they support the same political ideology as the two major parties. so there's not a whole lot of unbiased coverage. al jazeera on the other hand is very unbiased, rebelling against the middle eastern tradition of state owned media.

Thats just ignorant. I prefer to educate myself by seeking out the facts through books, research, etc. rather than having the media trying to force feed me drama rather than the facts.
There used to be a time in this country when the news was reported, not created.

I agree that the archives is extremely one sided. i favor to study the archives paper on-line then study the comments. very frequently, I study better from the comments than the easily information tale. a minimum of you get to artwork out comments from truly some political aspects and beliefs. Fox information is probable the worst position to opt for for information. you're better proper off with Stephen Colbert.

According to most "Americans" if you try to find an apposing view point you are the enemy. If you don't simply believe what you are told like a sheep then you are the enemy. If you speak out against the war you are the enemy. If you speak out against the president you are the enemy.
If you spoke out against the German state ( during world war 2) you were the enemy. If you spoke out against Hitler you were the enemy.......Notice any similarities?.....
