I just got a Creative Nano Plus mp3 and i plugged it in my Windows XP cp and my computer shows on the taskbar that there is new hardware but when I go to MY Computer the removable disk (mp3)is not there..I went to the Creative site and did all their support tips but nothing has worked so far, my friends laptop detected the mp3 so i think its my computer that has the problem. I already went to the Device Manager and the mp3 is not listed. Ive put permissions for Everyone. I updated the drivers, I tried all my usb ports, anybody else have any suggestions?
Thanks!

hmm i had this happen with my creative zen touch.
plug and play could be disabled if you have installed all the appropriate drivers from creative: http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/
and restarted your machine with no success.

to check the plug and play, go to the control panel>administrative tools>services
make sure the universal plug and play device host service is started, if not right-click it and start it and then right-click it again and go to properties and set as automatic, click apply and then click ok

i hope this helps

Did you load the software that came with the player? You must load the software before you plug the player into the computer. I have the Creative MicroPhoto 8GB player and the software is where the computer recognizes the player. In "my computer" the player icon stays in, listed under "other". When you open the Zen program all of the options will be functional. Make sure the USB dongle is completely inserted into the player or it will not be detected. You may not see the Zen in "Safely Remove Hardware" either.

recognize the report-form that you try to positioned on your mp3 participant. if it is not any longer .mp3 or .wma, it prolly wont artwork, except you've an ipod, then apple codecs will artwork too.
