Without a doubt, McDonalds has the best non-seasoned plain-jane french fries, but my personal favorite fries are the curly fries from Jack-in-the-Box. Now that's some good eatin'

McDonald's but have you watch "Supersize Me"? There was this experiment in the movie where they put fries and burgers from different fast food places in different jars and let it mold for two weeks. After two weeks, all the jars look really disgusting with all the foods molded and all except for McDonald's fries. They didn't degrade one bit, they looked as if they were put in the jar only five min ago. I have not eat their fries ever since then.

Captain Ds has the best, flaky fries, but if you like thinner, do DQ's. For plain fries, eat at Wendy's. For thin and salty (blech!) try McDonald's. For average, so Sonic or Burger King.

Checker's or Rally's, depending upon which of their markets you find yourself, make a legendary, spicy, processed fry based upon Ollie's Trolley's Ollie Fries from a local chain in Louisville KY in the 1970 where Rally's was once headquartered.
As far as national chains go, Burger King's traditional-style fries are the subject of much temptation, if underrated.
