carl sagan was a pothead idiot. he was an incompetent cosmologist, and the only reason you have heard of him is that his best pot smoking buddy worked for PBS

I disagree with most of his political stances, they are (stereo-)typical liberal dogma.
On pretty much everything else though I agree with him. I respect him for his successful efforts at popularizing science, and thank him for taking on the forces of pseudoscience, irrationality and superstition that still plague our world. His passing was a terrible loss for mankind.

Yes, especially his take on pseudoscientific nonsense like New Age, Homeopathy, Holism, Creation Science, psychic powers, and similar institutions that take your money for the privilege of telling you pretty lies.
