I used to hang out with a certain group of people and get along fine with everyone, although I always felt like a bit of an outcast because I am shy. Recently this group has been having activites together and leaving me out. A couple of the guys hang out with me regularly but when it comes time for an event with the rest of the group (mostly girls, but some guys) I am no longer invited and the guys I hang out with try not to tell when they are doing stuff with the group. I hear about them later. I have made it obvious that i have a desire to do things as I am always bored, but to no avail. I feel as though I might need some new friends...

Ok, I'm wondering whether or not it would be appropriate to forget them all or whether it's just a select few and the others don't really know I am being excluded on purpose (If that's the case). I don't want to lose more friends than I have to. Keep in mind it's gonna be really tough for me to meet new people to hang out with.

Yes you probally do need new friends-and I mean Friends-they were not your friends to just cut you out like that. dont brood over it though, you dont need a crowd od people to be with.Find someone with simular intrest but dont crowd them or be too needy do your own thing.

Move on and forget about them. I know what you mean. I've been in this type of situation before. They don't consider you important or cool enough to be around when there's an event. Because of your shyness you simply don't fit in their so called "category". Strangely enough, if you're the only one around and theres only one of two of them with you, they will include you in because there is no else. But once the whole group is there they don't need you. They only use you when they need to, and discard you when they don't need you.
A really sad group of friends you have there. But then, they're no friends of yours anyway.

Sounds a little like secret society doesn't it! Don't suppose someone in that group suspects you of being gay? That might put a crimp on things. Especially if they are homophobic. If so, ya you might need new friends.

tell them how you feel. If they don't accept you how you are- you need to find new friends who will.
