So please tell me what you would like your Government to do if this happened to one of your own and how much action should be taken to retrieve your Family members if it Happened to them?
Wat would you consider an appropriate response if it involved you personally?

the gov't should stick to its policy of no negotiating. it's the right thing to do. at the same time, the gov't should assist in the execution of a covert rescue mission utilizing spec ops or socom. that too is the right thing to do. don't give 'em what they want, and punish them for asking.
rescue the friendlies, kill the skinnies, leave no trace, come home.
followup: hey bia bia.... what the heck are you talking about? why did zeppellen's question warrant such a response from you? he didn't name a people or religion or ethnicity or even a country. his question was strictly hypothetical and general. your answer is nasty and out of line. get off your soapbox and give it rest!

Yo have so perfectly described how the Palestinians and Lebanese must feel. But I fail to see your point otherwise. Lebanon is not holding any innocent Israeli men, women or children hostage. So they caught one of the Israeli soldiers that came into THEIR country. Boo hoo. The Israeli prisons ARE however filled with innocent civilians including men, women and children. INCLUDING INFANTS!!! IDF decided once again to blur the facts, and once again you are buying their reasoning for grabbing more Arab land. Try doing some thinking for yourself and maybe some research other than FAUX news or ilovezionism.com. Then come back and ask a question with some intelligence behind it.

Please ask the families of the Muslim women and children who are in Israeli jails. There have been reports from valid sources claiming that these women and children are being tortured. Why is there no outcry against this atrocity in the USA. I know you will say it is a lie and you will call me names.

whatre the options? i would feel literally powerless and at the mercy of whoever, its not like you can go get them, but at the same time, you cant contact them, i think what im really saying is its more up to the US government than you, even if theyre gonna **** it up (the US government generally does, and the majority of survived kidnapees (say in the middle east) is...luck)
