Yeah but it's not all about body type, you have to be a good player. If you can make people miss or run people over than you'll be good.

sounds like you got the height for an 8th grader u may need to pack some mucle on to get that weight up some. i played tailback for 11 years and it was all about power and vision if u can see the holes and anticipate your defenders moves u will be fine. also always remember to deliver the blow dont let them hit u u hit them

For 8th grade...probably decent...but even still, some kids are getting big by then....135lb NFL player would be crushed.....very quickly..but yeah..for 8th grade, if you're strong enough to pound around a bit...it shouldn't be too bad...have you had a growth spurt yet? might help for high school.

Work hard, run hard, listen to the coaches, never "dog it" in drills,Give 100% in practice and games every play till the whistle blows and you'll do fine.

im 5'9" 160 and ill be starting at powerback for varsity, so i think you will be fine, as long as you are quick, you dont exactly have to be fast, it helps but it is better to be quick and agile. if you want some excercises then look up a thing called plyometrics, they really help for the agility and quickness.

Depends on the pace and running style of the RB, it can work fine.
