When I was 19 y/o I was given a restraining order against a police officer. He was this tough guy fat @ss cop... He pointed a gun at my head for no other reason than to scare the sh*t out of me. I have to admit, I was giving him a hard way to go!!! This dumb@ss did it in front of 20+ people...
He got reprimanded.
I got even.
I ran into him coming out of the grocery store and I kicked his @ss. When he was down, I kicked him in the face. I also told him that if he ever put a gun in my face, that he may as well pull the trigger, because if he didn't, I was gonna kill him! I got arrested and spent the night in jail. That's about it. The judge threw out the assault case due to the circumstances and we were both given restraining orders to stay away from each other.

I restrain myself all the time... it's a STANDING order for my hard-won discipline. I think it's also important to consider the "implicate order:" that which ALLOWS restraint in lieu of the "contextual backdrop." You know, it's "the gestalt" from moment to moment in space-time. I think that's the problem for people NOT being able to practice self-restraint... they are "out of touch" with the "implicate order" and that means that they are not working with a fully functioning intellect... and an intellect is a sad thing to waste.
A lack of functioning intellect si also responsible for oppositional, knee-jerk thinking, rather than a more contempletive, reflexive mentality... for this common ailment, I invite people to vist my group's blog at blogspot.com (note the link below):

Yes, but not officially... I'm not allowed over at my inlaws place... My father-in-law hates me... But his wife likes me, so I'll go over on special occasions for a minute or 2...
By the way, just read your page... You're beautiful...! Would you be my friend? Platonic only, of course...!
On 2nd thought, after visiting your Myspace and my wife's name is Luci, let's just forget it...!

No. Do you think I should get a few? I suspect I've got a few people after me! Ha ha! My excessive stupidity and lack of embarassment is always getting me in trouble!

Nope. Not against me and I never ordered one against anyone else either. Thankfully I've never had to.

I did ... the judge decided that although I am definitely a victim of psychological abuse, there isn't an IMMEDIATE threat of PHYSICAL harm, so he wouldn't extend it.
