Technology based goods always get cheaper, and the current offerings stay about the same price.. You can get a lot more computer today for the same price as you paid for your old slow computer a few years ago.

I don't think that the price of __________ remains the same. You have to account for the time and money that you have already put into it. It's just like paying rent. You don't own it, you are only using it for a short time.
