thanks to the user Miss U. you are so right, but a lot of the time i cant help myself. they make me feel so bad. especially when they talk bad about bands i love! like i know almost everything there is to know about green day, i know every word to every song, i have every album. but i am not obsessed, because i dont worship them, but thanks you helped a lot.

i dont think people should judge a band because of how famous they get, because it isnt their fault that people go and get their cds, or that dumb little cheerleaders go around saying billie joe is hott, and that is the only reason they like them, so i have proved my point. thanks.

green day changed my life and billie joe armstrong is my idol! when american idiot came out i really started getting interested in who green day really is. i realized all those songs my dad and i listened to when i was little were by green day. i researched green day 24/7 and i was fascinated by their older music and that nobody really seemed to appreciate them for their old music. now everyone knows me as that green day freak but i dont care. but those people wonder why i change the station every time boulevard of broken dreams comes on the radio. i love those songs that arent popular w/ the exception of holiday and wake me up. i love when brain stew or minority come on and everyone wonders what band it is. i laugh and tell them they should know if theyre my real friends. I LOVE GREEN DAY AND NOTHING ANYONE SAYS WILL CHANGE MY MIND!!!!!

Die-tough Green Day fan right here, I love the ancient and new. As a lot as I do decide upon the older Green Day I nonetheless ADORE the more recent Green Day. But besides, Green Day is undoubtedly now not option OR pop punk. Alternative and pa punk are Fall Out Boy, Paramore, All Time Low, ETC. But you are not able to rather positioned them at the more difficult facet of rock like Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Skillet, ETC. both. I individually love to feel of Green Day as a punk rock band that grew into mature guys. That's what I like approximately Green Day, they STILL stand proud of the norm. (:

They don't suck. Fall out boy sucks. There are so many undiscovered bands that are better than them... But Green Day has changed a LOT, and the ppl who say greenday sucks probably don't like that change. And on another note chill out. So someone says Greenday Sucks... Who cares? They probably have a different taste in music. Thats like me saying "I feel like killing all you jerks who hate French Fries or something..." You can't get made over peoples likes and dislikes (well you can but you won't get anywhere).

i think the reason green day is getting so much crap is because they suddenly got so famous with a cd thats not nearly as good as their older stuff, but i love all their music, but i do prefer the older stuff

Yeah, sometimes people can get ugly when they voice their "opinions" about music. Don't let it get to you because it is only that--their opinon. What they think is not a "fact" and therefore not worth your time and energy to waste on people who insult your taste in music!
