ok well i made a promise to my ex g/f that i wouldnt do something anymore and we are still like best of friends.. is it wrong of me to do this even though i made it when we were going out..?

If the promise was related to your relationship then it
was presumptive of your relationship and no, I wouldn't
feel constrained to it.
The most obvious case is if you were dating and you said
that you wouldn't date anyone else, and then you broke
up, then clearly the dating morotorium stops.
If, however, you promised that you would never tell somebody
a secret of hers, then yes, I think the promise must still stand.

Drugs? You shouldn't make promises you can't/have no intention of keeping. But since you're not going out anymore I guess you can do what you want.

well it depends on how stong of a relationship you have with you ex girlfriend...if you guys are close...then yeah..its really important..because of course she is still going to care...and if the promise meant a lot..then she would be hurt if it was broken...If anything, if you are unsure what she thinks, ask her about it...she'll respect you more, and it will save your friendship's trust!

You are under no obligation to keep your promise. If you're not going out any more, she doesn't get to say what you can and can't do.
