I was just wondering everyones opinion on this topic. I personally hate the fact that many asian stores only have asian writing on the products. I cant believe that in a english speaking country there are allowed to be products that most of the nation wouldnt even be able to buy. Please tell me that i am not the only one who notices this.

YES! I can't stand it it's like if i want to know something i can't because it's all written in their language. And it's not just asian stores you know? I don't know where you are but I live in California and all there is, is like Indian restaurants,Asian stores every where, Indian markets, mexican restaurants and stores, etc...I mean PLEASE ....and they wonder why we have a problem? How can they expect us to accept their culture if they don't even accept ours?

If you read the package carefully, you will discover that the ingredient list, at a minimum, is in English.

These products are designed for an Asian audience. The percentage of people who are not Asian, who will know what the English name means, is so small, as to be insignificant. That group will buy the product, regardless of English being on the label.

As far as purchasers of the product go, even if the names were in English, it would not affect their sales one way or the other.

If you really are into ethnic cooking, the store clerks will usually help you find the products you want. (Go to the store when it is not busy.)

I have noticed it, and it is not just an Asian thing. The identical product can have different names, in different regions of the US. Toss in the other countries that speak English, and the potential for different names increases dramatically.

It would be helpful. After all they are in America now. If you were to go to another country, you would have to learn their language or take a dictionary and at least attempt to speak their language. Here in the United States however it seems like we have to learn the whole worlds languages to communicate with just the people in your own neighborhood. So my answer is yes.

Absolutely!
I'm astonished that it is not mandated by law or by Health Dept. regulations.
Or is it?
