Do you think you are a philosopher? Got a degree? Do you know if there is a God? Is it going to rain for 40 days and 40 nights again? Who's building the Ark this time? Are cubits ever going to be used as a measuring system again?

Who knows...Maybe I, Maximus am the second coming of Jesus.

Do you want to philosophize with me?

Hope u can detect sarcasm, because I'm sweating buckets of it now.....

Its sort of a matter of integrity and ambition. Most people are glad enough with doing ok in life and collecting some achivements. Philosophers, instead, dont care about little achivements unless they have it clear that they are crucial to their realization as individuals.

Not everyone you meet does. Ever been to Georgia. But if someone thinks they are, then that action unto itself makes them self aware and at least a minor philosopher, who no one will ever remember.

Everyone has a worldview.

No matter how simple, they must assume, or claim to know, many truisms in order to be a social animal, and furthermore, to make any sense.

And, to live in this time, we face challenges, one being our principles or lack thereof. A worldview is necessary to orient us, and once it's there, defending what interests you is to extend your conception, your knowledge and power. The skill of persuasion, or the drive to it, is nothing more than the desire to thrive, in this time of vast uncertainties.
