I'm not a USC fan. But as a Sooner fan, I wanted to see the Longhorns lose.

As a life long Longhorn fan, nothing made me happier than watching Vince Young and the Longhorns beat USC. After having to endure the month long USC love fest that ESPN had leading up to the Rose Bowl, nothing felt better than when that clock struck 0:00. I walked around with a smile on my face for at least a month because of that one game.
I was more upset that the Texans didn't pick Vince Young because despite what the experts say, I believe Vince will be a much better Pro QB than David Carr, and he would have made that franchise relevant for the first time in their history. Just seeing Bush not picked #1 was good enough though.

I was ecstatic when the Longhorns came back and won the Rose Bowl. The way I saw it was this... they made it very exciting, particulalry Vince Young, he was electric. USC already has National Championships for the past two years, so I wanted to see someone else win. I thought USC should have lost to Notre Dame... that Leinert TD shouldn't have counted since he was pushed in by his players. Plus I just hate Leinert, he's not that great, a chimp could have won a championship with that collection of talent. I also don't like Pete Carroll very much, just for having won so much in such a short time... 54-10 in 5 years? I'd rather see Joe Pa win another championship with PSU.

Vince Young won't make it in the NFL (a 16 on the Wunderlich?, my dog could get a better score than that!) and if USC hadn't had so many defensive injuries or lost others to the NFL, USC would have won the game.
Texas has already lost a running back to grades and criminal arrest. But no use cryin' cause USC will win it all this year, with the best recruting class in the nation .....

I'm not a big college football fan--I prefer pro ball. But, let's put it this way--I seriously doubt either Reggie Bush or Matt Leinart are crying too much at having lost to Texas---they will make a lot of money in the NFL--regardless of who went first in the draft.
Sounds to me like you have some kind of jealousy against Bush and USC. Get over it man--that was back in January for crying out loud!

I witnessed USC destroy my liked Oregon ducks in Autzen this year, and what I observed interior the 2d 0.5 of that game proved to me that USC is extra proper than a Texas that could cream Baylor and Kansas State each year. the reality of the subject is, some issues went against USC, some undesirable calls, some undesirable desicions, and that they lost for it. Vince youthful does no longer have an NFL high quality arm. He did no longer throw interior the cmbine, he's not that good.

lol texas didn't win it...usc lost it. it would have been just like that oklahoma dismantling if usc didn't kill themselves. usc probably should have been up 21-0 orso and usc made some stupid plays. even after all that, usc still should have won....not being able to make a 4th and 2...lol!
but it's ok...was a great game anyway. titans will see young is only a great athlete...not a QB. in a few years, they'll probably try him at WR and he'll turn into an antwaan randle el!

Darn !!! This is sooooo hard to say since I am a dyed in the wool (red dye) Sooner fan. I was elated when Texas beat USC. I don't really hate Texas except 1 day a year, but that day is utter contempt. You 'horns enjoy your first Nat'l Championship since 1969 (we have 4 since then), because 2006 is the year of the Sooners.

Oh yeah, because now my Buckeyes don't have to deal with Vince Young! It would've made a great matchup with Troy Smith Vince Young, but I'll take the young qb instead.
