Letterman - yeah he is a little wierd and his jokes aren't always funny, but I would rather watch him than Leno. I think Leno tries too hard but it just doesn't work.

Letterman without a doubt. He is brilliant. He was definitely robbed of The Tonight Show....Leno okay, but no Dave....

Jay Leno's whiny lack of true humour leverages too much mainstream silliness, practically zero irony, and never displays true wit. He is perfect for that secor of society sometimes refered to as "dumb america".
Letterman is clever, enormously witty, been at it longer, and doesnt kiss his guests asses.
In my mind there is no comparison. It always should have been Letterman, he was robbed of the tonight show. Leno has failed to keep the iconic show in the legendary, revered form that it had when handed to him. It's a shame, and somewhere up there Johnny Carson is up late, laughing his *** off, and Dave's tellin the jokes.
