You must read a couple of books on investing and go to Scwab or Fidelity and invest yourself.

or

Read one book on retirement investing and use a highly recommended planner (interview at least 3). Do not go to a bank or insurance company for investment advise. Don't deal with someone pushing variable annuities. They are the highest commission product out there and are only good for maybe 5% of all those that have purchased them.

i in my view use a financial planner. i used to regulate all of my own debts and did large, yet with my financial planner, i'm doing greater effective than large now. he's a cpa and a cfa so he makes advantageous that i'm getting each and every thing i might desire to be back from taxes and places the money interior the properly suited places so as that it quite is often making a residing, even in this financial climate. i agree which you may desire to instruct your self, yet taking that next step to financial risk-free practices with a planner isn't a bad theory. in simple terms make advantageous that the guy you utilize knows what he or she is doing.
