i would say with an average length per song of 4MB - about 500.

I have a 2 Gigabyte ipod nano, I currently have 466 songs loaded on it and that uses 1.89 GB so I think 500 songs is a good estimate.

ok gotta correct you but its gigabyte. and if the songs are all around about 3-4 minutes then Id have to say about roughly 1000. Thats just songs, no photos, woops sorry I thought you said 4 gigs so no cut that in half so about 500

About 500 songs, since a 4MB holds 1000. And it's gigabyte, not gagabyte. But you already knew that.

well, 1 gb is about 360 songs,
there for 2 gb is probably around 720 if you turn it to mp3 songs
