All I can say is that the Republicans(not all)are going a bit haywire against Mr. Bush's role in our Government, but as far as I know Spector has just sunk himself into a deep pit in which I doubt he has much, or at least, any kind of chance what-so-ever to escape out of. Why, of why would you attempt to sue the highest leader in the country?
This is like a boxing match, I've definitely have my eyes on it.

Senator Specter has every right to sue the Pres. His chances of winning the lawsuit, maybe not so good. Rove was released from the charges against him. The same thing will probably happen with Bush. Lobbyists will most likely pay his way, to keep the administration from further damage, embarassment. Someone will turn some screws, and everything will be dropped.
An excellent question to ask Bush. Now, if we could actually get the Mrs. to read it to him and put it into simple words so he can understand, that would be awesome.

I guess you can sue the president but he should not expect to win. All Specter needs to do is wait a few more years or maybe November when the Dems sweep into office and than he can get whatever he wants.

Bush has NEVER had any intention of following any law. He swore to uphold the Constitution of the United States and has proceeded to do everything he can think of to undermine it instead. I truly hope that the suit goes forward and somebody finally does something to stop him. He is not a president, he is a dictator. A TREASONOUS dictator and he should be tried and punished as any traitor to the country would be.

I think that Bush must have pushed congress to the limit for a repuglican to try to sue him to restore the balance of powers. I don't know about winning but you are seeing all three arms of our government at work, that is the way it is set up and it will be interesting to see how it turns out.

As much as I dislike Bush I say no. It weakens the systems of check and balances. Similar to this law that is being passed that would stop federal courts from deciding gay marrige issues. The republicans are trying to get this to go to the supreme court but by taking power away from the judiciary branch they are weakening the check and balances system.

i think Specter needs to shut his mouth and think before he opens it. Do you want to live in a country where people overthrow thier president every time something goes wrong. I think we (a nation) )not me( voted for him, and we need to stick it out. Specter needs to put his efforts into helping the homeless, the hungry and maybe think about running for president himself if he thinks its so bad.
