if you can't trust yourself, who are you going to trust? In other words, you have to have faith in yourself. Don't doubt your own abilities. when you say "I can't do that", without trying, you're mistrusting your own nature.

Basically it means that you should trust your gut instincts, and you shouldn't question it, it is what keeps you out of the most trouble in life.

I never heard it stated like that before. But it's like being true to yourelf. If you can't trust you then who can you trust.
One thing it means is "be true to yourself", see yourself honestly and realistically.
