The first thing you should do is figure out what time of the day you do homework best, and set aside 2 hours for every hour you are in class. Then you can take the rest of the time to work, be involved in clubs, and play sports.

It's often a necessary evil to have to work while going to school. I had to do it most of the time I went to college, and I balanced it by devoting any time possible to studying. I was lucky to be able to work only part time, so I would end up getting home in the early evening and working on homework or studying for 3-4 hours a night. Then a lot of time on the weekend was spent studying alone or with groups from my classes. So it's defintely possible! Good luck! :-)
