Does it do any good to run a warm air mist humidifier on low in a room that is also running air conditioning?

in the summer i would go with a cool mist humidifier, especially if you are using it to treat allergies. you will find the air feels more comfortable (less hot) and that your allergies/dryness will respond better to the cool mist.

however if all you have is a warm mist humidifier, it wont hurt you - you just may be more uncomfortable due to the heat.

It shouldn't be a problem. Of course, it depends where you live. If you live in a hot, dry climate the additional moisture may keep your sinuses from drying out. :)

It wouldn't work so well here, though. I live in the Palm Springs area which qualifies as a desert. We've had temperatures between 115 and 120, but with the monsoonal flow, every time I go outside, my glasses fog up from the humidity! Blech!

yup....i have a humidifier..but i put it on cool mist..(it has a seperate switch)....I also use a netty pot ...to clear away my dry nose..from using the ac...
