I love the work of Tasha Tudor, Holly Hobbie (their work makes me feel right at home), Arthur Rackham (I love the complexity), Virginia Lee Burton (for the uniqueness of her work), Leonard Weisgard (because his work is simple), Stephen Mackey (Well, if only I could live in the places he creates!) and whomever the artists where for the The Giant Golden Book of Elves and Fairies (I spent more time as a child looking at the pictures than reading the stories.)

My absolute sought after? i like the reality that the tiniest information hook up with the very end of the sequence. i'm rereading the sequence, and that i merely look to maintain finding extra foreshadowing persistently. this is countless, and that's the reason you may never get ill of the Harry Potter sequence. There are continually new issues to locate. And yeah, i can't stop at one. yet another one in all my favorites is the reality that her writing flows as though this is like Harry's magazine in the process the college year. this is fantastic how lots i will wander away interior the e book and examine for hours in the past determining lots time had handed. some thing I choose exchange into distinctive... easily no longer something. properly, apart from the reality that i exchange right into a prior due bloomer on the sequence, commencing in 2006, and that i had considered video clips a million-4 in the past examining the books.

I've always loved Arthur Rackham. His illustrations are delightful, mysterious, frightening, beautiful, and seem to fit the story perfectly. (He once lived not so far away from me.)

There's also Edmund Dulac, who came a few years after Rackham; I love his illustrations to fairy stories, The Rubaiyat and Shakespeare:

These two brought to life some wonderful books for me. I can still look at them and lose myself in the stories, dreaming and fantasising...

It's a bit cliche', but I love Mary Grand Pre of Harry Potter fame. I think she made them look different than other covers with bold colors and interesting tidbits of the story. I also find it interesting that she uses her own face as a model for Harry.

I'll go with Maxfield Parish. His work had such a dreamy quality, beautiful colors and so creative. I have a small book set of his work, it's just beautiful.

I love William Joyce's style. He is very unique, and his aesthetic is at once both whimsical and streamlined. He also has great stories.
