Could one hope to hear that other voice, find that other person, one's essential self, emerging from the under brush of modern life?

The underBRUSH of modern life? I thought that modern life was being kept from emerging by BUSH. Now you have me all confused!

Well, modern life doesnt allow for this does it? I guess the word "hope" is the key term here.

Try Buddhist meditation. It will train you to silence the unwanted voices in your mind, including that of the self. What remains will be the voice you are seeking.

modern life it self regenerating and talking old ideas, if time is not the problem then yes

I do that sometimes--I hope for it sometimes--I have a pop-music and sports side and a classical and artistic side. which am I? the world will never know--so I be both
