Space, the final frontier.
These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise,
Her five-year mission, to explore strange new worlds,
To seek out new life and new civilization,
To boldly go where no man has gone before.

No. The final frontier we have to cross is our own Net Creativity as a species. When we find out how to create more usefulness than we use in resources, then there will be no limits. Space is only a hundred miles away. Rational living for the human race is still ages and many wars away.

I think the final frontier will not be a physical place. It will be the exploration of our own minds and their hidden potential, possibly enhanced by bio and cybernetic technology.

We will be transformed if we survive to do so. It's what all our science points to.

I believe that the exploration of space will be ongoing, and can hardly be described as final.

Hell yeah. The only problem is that Alaska is, too, and there's nothing in space. NOTHING. No Ferengi, no Borg, no Cardassians, no ion trails! And it will be a while until we get warp drives working well.
