The forth dimension is usually considered Time as it can be messured and traveled through, atleast linearly forward.

The book "A time Machine" by HG Wells, first pinned the term the 4th Dimension as Time. Einstein's threory written 60 or so years later, proposes that time can be bent under certain condition adn traveled upon as if it was another direction to travel. The other three are width, height, and length.

Hi. In addition to the three "normal" dimensions (X, Y, Z or right-left, up-down, towards-away) there is time. This is normally thought of as the 4th dimension. Newer physics concepts can have up to 10 or 11! Look up info on "superstring theory". Hope this gets you thinking!

In our world, we can see 3 dimensions: height, width, and length. The 4th dimension is just another thing added to that like time. I'm not sure exactly what scientists have said what it is but I think it's time. Google it and you'll get way better results.

It is time .... for me to get the ten points. :) Read this quote and follow the link for more information.
.........................................................................
The concept of a fourth dimension is one that is often described in considering its physical implications; that is, we know that in three dimensions, we have dimensions of length (or depth), width, and height. The fourth dimension is orthogonal to the other three spatial dimensions. The cardinal directions in the three known dimensions are called up/down (altitude), north/south (longitude), and east/west (latitude). When speaking of the fourth dimension, an additional pair of terms is needed. Attested terms include ana/kata (sometimes called spissitude or spassitude), vinn/vout (used by Rudy Rucker), and upsilon/delta.
Usually, the fourth dimension is identified with time. In this case, the concept of an additional spatial dimension would be referred to as the fifth dimension.

Hey, it's me again. Don't forget my ten points. Thank you. And if you are interested in a movie about other dimensions try Event Horizon. Besides being a good sci fi movie it is also scary as hell.

The third dimension that we are living in means everything is measured by how high something is, how wide something is, and how long something is. You can change this and move it around. I believe we will be living in the forth dimension when it will be possible to time travel. With time travel, we will be able to move around in time and change things in time just as we can move and change something of height, width, and length. Time will be another facet of dimensions, enabling us to be living in the forth dimension.

Good to have you ask this here. I suggest google or the library. You can find better answers on your own to such academic concerns and technical questions in this way. Good luck. www.teoma.com or www.dogpile.com are good. Or even define: "and your term here: in Google
