There are many high-profile rookies, but not many of them are a drastic upgrade over the player next on the depth chart.
For example, Reggie Bush is a stud, but Duce McAllister is also in the backfield.
Which rookie will really make in impact on his team?

1. Vernon Davis, he is going to be placed at the center of the 49ers offense imeadiatly.
2. Michael Huff- expect him to lead the Raiders secondary
3. AJ Hawk- Big playing time at the ceter of the the pakers defense
4. D'Brickashaw- Anchor of Jets offensive line
5. Matt Lienhart- I dont think Warner will remain healthy and Matt should get good reps and will possibly get close to the playoffs

It is tough to say because it is pure speculation. A lot of big name rookies who were outstanding in college tank in the pros. It is a different beast. There are no guarantees. I would like to THINK that guys like Bush, Leinart and Young will have tremendous impact on their teams--when they play. They are all talented--wouldn't have made it to the draft and gone early if they weren't. But the draft is based on what scouts see in their college play--which doesn't always translate into great pro play. The Niners got Alex Smith last year and because the team had a rough year again, everyone was ragging on what a bad player Smith is. I don't' think he is a bad player--but he is a rookie and has to learn how to deal with the pro style of football. I think the better question is 5 years from now---which NFL rookie of 2006 HAD the biggest impact on their team. Then we have a debate--with past performance in the pros to back it up or refute it. :)

contained in the destiny or this twelve months? no matter if that is this twelve months... it ought to probable be a operating decrease back or a protecting participant also... Do you've faith an effect might want to lead the team having a good record? if so... i trust it is going to likely be Sedrick Ellis DT of the hot Orleans Saints... he's purely what the surgeon ordered and can assist unencumber Will Smith to get to the QB and Jonathan Vilma to run in area. Darren McFadden will probable have a fairly large functionality besides... yet i do not see Raiders being always solid sufficient to have a good record. --- if you're talking about the destiny... it ought to probable be a QB cuz QBs are the most important position. Chad Henne is definetely attainable... So is Matt Ryan or Joe Flacco. yet I doubt any of those 3 have a favorable effect on their communities this twelve months

It's not the 'sexy' thing to say, but D'Brickashaw Ferguson will have a major impact... if you pay close attention. Not many notice the OT. Whoever ends up the starting QB with the Jets will notice! Both Chad Pennington and Patrick Ramsey are pocket passers who need a little extra time to complete their reads. They need solid protection to be effective. The Jets O-line was in sad shape going into the draft, so he's probably a vast improvement.

Look for Micheal Huff making an impact for the Lions.
He seems like the next sean Taylor or Roy Williams

D'Brickashaw Offensive Tackle for the Jets. Don't think these famous guys like reggie bush, or vince young are going to have great years. Its true that every player has to adjust. Offensive Linemen, however adjust quickly.

D'Angelo Williams - Carolina RB - with injuries to the backs ahead of him, he has a real chance to make a splash.
Jason Allen - Miami safety/corner back - has a good chance to start and make a real difference on the defense.
Jesse Mahelona - Tennessee defensive lineman - great work ethic and has a chance to be a difference-maker.

Reggie Bush has decided to hold out, so I doubt he will play much.
My bet is AJ Hawk. He is pretty bad ***, and the Pack are pretty terrible (sadly)....so anything will be a great improvement to their pathetic defense.
