toothpaste? I've never heard of that! Stop scratching!
I use a product called "Afterbite" I find it works really well.

I found a website that says...
Wash the bite with soap and water as soon as possible. Rubbing soap directly onto the bite may help reduce the itching.
Baking soda and water - make a past and apply it to the bites.
Hold an ice cube or ice pack on the bite.
Rubbing alcohol often relieves the itch and swelling..

Since you don't want to use Caladryl or Calamine lotion on the bites, hydrocortisone cream is the only thing that I can think of that will really help with the itching. You could also try putting Ice directly on the bite to numb it or you could do a mix of baking soda and water to make a thick paste to put over the bites. Benedryl will also help.

I don't know if this will work for everyone but when I get really itchy mosquito bites here's what I do. Take a benadryl and put the sunburn lotion that has lidocaine on it. It has to have the lidocane the just aloe vera doesn't really do the trick for me.
Hope it helps

a million. Anti-ITCH ointment... the "extra capability" 2% hydrocordizone stuff. 2. Have him take a dose of Benedryl or different ANTI-histamine medicine. The itching is a type of allergic reaction, and taking an antihistamine can help combat the itching from the interior. 3. Witch Hazel... shop wiping the bites with witch hazel (on a cotton ball/pad). It facilitates to DRY OUT the chew speedier, and thusly lowering the time the "poisons" are interior the chew spot(s). Have a pro day.

Take a good big dose of benadryl(antihistamine), as long as you don't need to worry about drowsiness. Also you could apply some Lanacaine lotion or any anti itch cream or there's always ice.

Someone asked this question last week, and gave me the best answer. A few years back, we had some friends over, and their son got stung multiple times by hornets. My wife mixed a baking soda and water paste, and it worked wonders. A girl who got bit by mosquitoes asked two weeks ago tried it, and gave me the best answer, saying it worked wonders. Give it a try and let me know.

The best thing for those bites is green rubbing alcohol. It doesn't burn and it stops the itch. We use it every time we are bitten. Good Luck!
