yes. not because of errors, because the connection speed is based on the signal strength. so for 802.11g you will be connected at:

1, 2, 5.5, 11, 6, 9, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48, or 54 Mbit/s

it all depends on the signal strength. in rf, wifi in particular, "heat maps" are often times used to represent the coverage of a wireless access point. the heat map uses different colored circles to show the coverage area of the access point for each connection speed. The below link is a lousy example - can't find anything decent right now.

Yes. After a certain point, error rate will increase at the native level, and your router will have to retry so many times to get it right. The effective speed will be slower. Also, I believe, most routers will also slow down until acceptable error rates are achieved.

Your router won't let you have a packet with error in it. It will try and try again until clean data is received. If this is not possible, it will simply disconnect.

no it dont affect it BUT
if your download speed is 128 kbs and the connection rate is 100% a 128 kbs file will be downloaded may be less than the 1 second if you have a downlopad manager . but if the the connection rate is 30% , ur dead the 128 will be resived in parts and parts will be late due to connectivity you may download it in 1 min o1 hour or you may never get it

Yes.
The weaker the signal the more times missing packets have to be retransmitted. That takes away from your bandwidth.
The stronger the signal the fewer packets are lost and you can use a larger portion of your bandwidth.
