You are giving Yankee fans more credit than they deserve!
They are not capable of following your logic.
They are corporate America.
They have no idea what it is like to be a New Englander and have all your heart and sole devoted to the Red Sox.
Fever Pitch was a love story about the Red Sox.
The only love in Yankee land is love for sale !

Why are you insulting the memory of baseball great Eddie Stanky by using that name? How about the Stinkees? My preference is to call them the Steinbrenners. But let's face it, from Jacob Rupert to George Steinbrenner, Yankees owners have often tried to buy pennants. It's when they develop the right talent (Gehrig, Berra, Mantle, Jeter, etc.) that they do best.
