My most memorable one was in a sandlot game when I was around 15. Our team was losing 6-5 in the 9th and we had 2 on. I hit it out for an 8-6 win.

Yes, I hit my first home run at 15. I will never forget the young lady and I will always be grateful.

Sure, but not enough for my liking. I was always a good hitter for average in baseball, with occasional "pop". My "m.o." is about the same now in mens softball leagues, so it does feel good the occasional time I hit it over the fence, or split the gap and circle the bases.

For my money, the feel of really connecting and knowing you are unloading all your energy into the ball is simply the greatest feeling in sports.
