Like the other guy said, real Astrology is accurate. The horoscopes that you read in horoscope columns are NOT real astrology, they are for entertainment purposes. It is too bad that most people have no idea what so ever of what real astrology is, so how could they have an educated opinion on it.

Each person has their own unique horoscope chart that is based on their date, time (hour minute, am/pm) and location (longitude, latitude and time zone) of birth. It is unique to them and no two are alike. You have 3 signs a sun sign, rising sign, and moon sign. Every horoscope chart has 12 houses associated to the 12 signs signs of the zodiack and rule different aspects of your life. Each sign has a ruling planet that rules a house in your chart. The other planets are placed in these houses based on their locations at the time of your birth which gives further significance. The planets make aspects to each other, favorable and unfavorable. All of this has to be constructed for your chart and the meanings determined. This is your natal horoscope that tells of your personality, abilities, talents, likes, dislikes, physical features etc. Predictions are based on transits. Transits are the current locations of planets for the current day and how they aspect your Natal chart and the planets in the Natal chart.

I've pondered this question. The funny thing is, horoscopes sometimes only work when they're read in advance. Like I read the horoscope for yesterday and it wasn't nearly accurate. I think when we read our horoscopes we tend to think biasedly and it stays in our subconscious (i hope thats the right area of the mind i'm talking about) and throughout the day we randomly remember it. And when we read a chinese horoscope when we're little, it stays in our minds and tends to influence our actions. Its like when you tell a child that he is a problem-child, he tends to keep acting as a trouble-maker after that because we've been "labeled". The "labeling" theory is that after we have been, whether it is accurate at first or not, we start doing it. And THAT is why horoscopes work. Because we convince ourselves to make them work.

Because they are written that way! If you take a room full of people and hand them each a piece of paper with their horoscope, they will be amazed that it's accuracy. Then tell them to pass it to the person behind them and they will see that it is all the same!! This has been done btw. Ever notice how each horoscope always allows for a little bit of the opposite?

No accuracy at all. My friend was always trying to fit her life into whatever her horoscope said about her. The really odd thing was that her horoscope fit me to a "T". We were born 18 months apart. How do you explain that?

Okay here is my theory. Everything in the world is made up of energy.Keeping that fact in mind, when someone is told something that will happen to them that person tends to think about it. When our minds think about something the energy in our bodies focuses on what we are thinking about. It is scientific law that energy cannot be destroyed or created but only transferred and change forms. So your horoscope tells you that you will become sick in the middle of the week. Now that you read that you will think about being sick, the more you think about it the more energy you focus on it and it is very likely you will become sick soon because you built up a bunch of energy focused on being sick. This world is a phenomonal place and our minds are more powerful than we realize. If we think and believe something enough than our minds will eventually use its own energy to create what we are dwelling on.

There is NONE. Any so-called accuracies are merely coincidence. Most people who read those horoscopes deliberately try to live their lives acording to their horoscope, so there is nothing 'accurate' about it.

The accuracy of horoscopes?

You actually believe they are accurate? Mine says that I'm going to get laid at least every other day.

They're usually wrong.....LOL

Astrology is accurate but Horoscopes are normally made up by idiots. They have no idea what they’re talking about.

sure, the wording is so vague that the mathematical probability of at least part of the horoscope hitting home is near 89% (I made that percentage up...but it should be fairly close).

And once part of it touches your emotional nerve, you ignore every other part that isn't close.

Come on, you know I'm right.

How about fortune cookies? If a fortune cookie said you would fall off of a bridge, would you?

None. The biggest effect any celestial body has on anybody on earth is the sun. The next star is so far away that it has zero influence, unless you count starlight. Nice to look at but pretty useless in the influence department.
