I have known my baby's father for some years now and we have been together for 4yrs off and on but he wants me to wait til he gets he life together because he says he doesn't want to hurt me any more should I wait.

some people take long time to change/get life together. if he is really serious about it, then respect it.

If he wanted to get his life together then he would have done it by now. That is just an excuse to keep you holding on while he does what ever it is he's doing. right now it should be all about your baby and not about any man.

Wait for what....to get married? I would go on with my life and be a good mother to my baby. I would not sit around waiting for him to make up his mind about what's going to happen in my life.
