you forgot.. they dont just call them poor but 'the lazy poor that only want to take from others.'
This gives them a false sense of being elite over what they see as weaker. This is part of why our capitalist society is going to eventually fail... you can't survive as a society when you dont pay a livable wage and then judge ppl for not having much.

Poor people can prosper when they either get an education or get a better job or two if needed. How many poor people have given you a job? Giving the companies tax incentives create jobs, so I think we need to keep than incentive there. It's not control. You can work to make a future for you in this country. Millions and millions have done it. They didn't start off rich either.

OMG you are vomitting up incorrect rhetoric. Go look at the IRS tax statistics. The "poor" get earned income credits and get back more than they paid in. These so called breaks you speak of.. look again. The top 1% pays 10 times more to the government than all the middle class. The only thing to make it fair is have a flat tax, like sales tax.
Why should I have to pay for lower income to pop out babies. I am just middle income, and we pay about 10% when its all said and done, after filing. The poor get more back than they ever paid. 1 million dollar companies and above may hold onto 60% of their earnings with all their so called breaks.
Now we follow your advice and tax them more, guess what that means? JOB CUTS.
Look it up for yourself.

it looks like people have already corrected you. The "rich" pay the vast majority of taxes for this country.
In this country, if you work hard, you can get ahead. Simply don't choose to be poor. If you start off poor, and choose not to be, the odds are with you to be better. Choices everyday affect the 'poor'. Choices like, should I buy that 12pack tonight, or should I save the money. Should I go to the welfare office, or should I go to the job force? Should I get 5 women pregnant, or should I be responsible?

Funny. The rich people and business owners, which represent 8% of the population, pay 70% of the taxes.
Now tell me about this oot on the 'poor peoples necks'. Are you saying poor people cannot compete and make money? Or do you think they just need a bigger welfare check?
I think there's a tree that needs hugging somewhere.

of course, the government will tell you that they put labels like that out there to identify those who need help, but i tend to agree that control is at the root of it...but, know what? most rich people didn't get that way by being lazy, stupid, or letting someone label them. don't resent someone who has been successful, just use it as inspiration to succeed yourself!

Because people are impoverished, financially, emotionally, intellectually. Their morale is low, and they seem ready to see some drastic changes in the leadership and the way we're led.
