Start it up, shift it into gear, release the brake, and step on the gas.

Depends on how big it is. I assume it's not in running condition, or you'll be moving some place without it? If it's in bad enough shape, you'll either have to tow it or scrap it. If you're going far though, it may just pay to get it back to running condition, and drive or have someone esle drive it for you. A tow can get very expensive, especially if you're going a long distance.
