I have replaced the radiator and the water pump. It was fine for a week and then it started to overheat again. I have no idea why, the only thing I can think of is that the oil needs to be changed, would that have anything to do with the car overheating? And does anyone know any ideas why it is still overheating?

There is a thermostat usually on the top hose of the radiator that can get clogged/stuck. Its a cheap part usually and easy to replace. Its purpose is to open as the engine gets hot to run that hot water in the radiator, and to close when the engine is cold to warm up the engine. 1995 is plenty old enough for one of these to clog up and just stop working.

Hope this helps. Could be other things, but if you haven't checked/replaced the thermostat yet, that's where I'd start because its usually cheap.

I have the same car more than likely the water is drained out and u just need to replace the water pump.If the water pump is bad, you will not circulate enough water through the engine and it could cause long term problems.just incase keep an eye on the temperature gauge and if it over heats you will want to shut the engine off right away, otherwise you can do major engine damage. if the water pump isnt the problem more than likely u will need to change out the radiator

you probably did no longer say anthing with regard to the water pump, nor the electrical powered followers or followers. you may ask the mechanic to verify. in specific situations the followers do no longer come on till the motor vehicle is heat besides, yet they do could come back on then, while the water is pouring out, maximum in all probability from the overflow of the radiator, is the fan working? there are 2 sensors screwed into the radiator, a million is for the workstation and the different controls the fan, it must be undesirable. or the fan quite is undesirable. or the fan itself is undeniable undesirable. a million ingredient you would be able to do it hotwire the fan, plugged in for all time, see if it over heats then.

Before you waste your money listening to these "magazine mechanics", hear me out. Does the car over heat all the time or just when you at a stop or moving slow in traffic? Also is it running bad, misfiring, or hesatating? Is it low on coolant? answer these questions for me and I can probaly tell you a solution.

Wow allot of these people dont know what there talking about. Check your coolant level. If its good replace the thermostate. One of those should take care of that problem. If not well you may have a fuel air mixture problem. Running to lean. Get it checked out.

Blown head gasket, or some other leak in the engine block. It doesn't cost much to get it checked out, but I'll tell you right now-it won't be worth fixing.

Check the anti-freeze/coolant fluid.

Do you use coolant? It sounds like you need to switch brands if you do!
