I want a car as a daily driver, and I really like the grand AM. If I had the money to do it, I'd buy one.

My guess is people see a gazillion of them on the road and think that they are cheaply made junk.

IMO - half that is true, they are made fairly cheap, but Pontiac's been building them for so long, they are built well.

One word--blah. No style, no pizzazz. Goes here to there, bores driver to death. Dull. Blends in well. Good, non-noticeable getaway car for the bank robbers. Right up there with the ford Tempo and Chevy Celebrity. A real snoozer.

A common problem with them is that the intake gaskets leak and that the intakes are made of a hard plastic that deteriorates over time(and not a lot) and leak. It doesn't matter if you have the 3.4L or the 3.1L engine, it happens to both.
