What a moronic question. It's two functions. On the one hand, as bandwidth increases efficiency increases (to a point). On the other, as bandwidth decreases costs decrease (to a point). Do the math and figure out where you're benefits from increased bandwidth equal its cost.

Are you in charge of making bandwidth decisions for your company? You should really get a handle on this now. Many businesses overpay for Internet bandwidth and never implement proper metering on THEIR END of the circuit. (The ISPs will be happy to sell you as much as you're stupid enough to buy.)

if you depend on bandwidth than segment your LAN by using vlans. this stops broadcast and un-necessary traffic to cross to other VLANs . You can also configure your switch with Access List/QoS.
