Herve Villechaise is dead. He died 9/4/1993. You can look up this sort of info on many celebs at

Hes dead, his name was Herve Villechazie(I think that was the correct spelling). He commited suicide in December of 1993. He shot himself. Watch for reruns to E True hollywood Story, as they have done a show on him/fantasy island in the past (1999). Hope this helps, attached is a link to his filmography.

Herve Villechaize passed away in '93, September 04, of suicide.
He was only 50, had committed suicide.

Wikipedia says he died in 1993. But he seems to be in a commercial for Burger King - must be a look-alike.
