No way, it's never too late. At 14 you're still agile and flexible and quick to pick up skills. If you were to pick it up at say 22 or something, that might be a bit tricky as you might be lacking in the necessarily flexibility etc. Sure, it might take you a few weeks to get back into the swing of it, but it won't take you very long till you're good at it again.

Chelsea,
It is probably too late if you are hoping to be an Olympian.
However, it is not too late if you want to do a physical activity that you enjoy.
Here is some information on gymnastics training.
http://www.pponline.co.uk/encyc/gymnastics.htm
You might also want to consider related sports/activities such as:
Aerobics
Dancing
Aerobics
Cheerleading
Callisthenics
Hope that this helps you.
Regards

too late for what? too late to become an olympic star? Yes, probably. Too late to get involved in a really challenging sport of art, strength and skill? NO WAY! College campuses often offer beginner gymnastics classes, so if college-age students can pick it up, so can you!

It is never too late to get back into something you like. Look at women in their 50's going back to college or taking up a new sport. If they can do it at their age, then you can do it at yours. Who knows? Maybe in a few years, we'll see you at the Olympics. I say go for it and have the time of your life!!:)

Why would it be too late?
You can still take a class. You might not be the best of the bunch, but as long as you are haveing fun, it should not be too important.

Obviously, it will be tough going at first, since it's been so long, but there's no reason I can see you not being able to do it.
You would need to increase your flexibility and your general strength, but, assuming no serious health problems, you should be OK.

go with what you know you enjoy. you can change your mind if it doesn't work out. It's not like a tattoo. You might meet a person that will change your life, u never know.
